QUICKBOOKS ONLINE
ProntoBill with QuickBooks Online
ProntoBill is invoicing and payment software for contractors and other service businesses. Its QuickBooks Online connection is being built so the records you make in ProntoBill go to your books, and you and your bookkeeper never type them twice.
Being tested: connecting ProntoBill to your QuickBooks Online company, and disconnecting it. Neither is available to use yet. Coming after that: sending your records, as described below. Nothing is sent to QuickBooks.
What will go to QuickBooks
- Customers
- Invoices once they are sent (never drafts), with the sales tax exactly as your customer was billed
- Payments, including card payments, with the card processing fee recorded as its own expense
- Refunds, expenses, and receipt images
Records will go one way, from ProntoBill to QuickBooks Online. Changes made in QuickBooks will not be brought back into ProntoBill, and an edit made in QuickBooks to a record ProntoBill sent can be overwritten the next time it is updated from ProntoBill.
How to connect
In the ProntoBill app, the business owner opens Settings → QuickBooks and taps Connect QuickBooks, then signs in to Intuit and chooses the company. Connecting is included in your ProntoBill subscription at no extra charge.
